Understanding Snapshot Modes #

The “mode” column in your snapshot indicates the operational setting of the snapshot, particularly useful for distinguishing between standard and specialized document retrieval workflows.

Complete Mode (Default) #

• Description: This is the default setting used for general purposes.
• Usage: Select this mode if you’re operating without any specialized retrieval pipelines.

Document Retrieval Mode (RAG) #

• Description: Choose this mode to interact with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline.
• Usage: Ideal for tasks that require document retrieval to enhance response accuracy and relevance.

Understanding which mode your snapshot is in allows you to tailor GenAI Studio’s interaction with data and improve task-specific performance.
